Now wait! Before you get your undies in a bunch, let me explain. Sure, the main house is burnt to a crisp. However, Nottoway LLC owns and operates about 13 businesses across Louisiana. So yeah, it’s great that the building is gone — but the family? The family is still making money off the backs of Black folks, 300-some years later.
And you know what, suge? There are many families just like this one, dotting the map across Louisiana, still profiting off wealth they didn’t earn — not in the slightest.
